Born in Irvine, Ayrshire in 1962, Graham McKean began his working life in Glasgow’s Govan shipyards, but in 1979 he took his first step towards an artistic career and in 1996 decided to commit himself to full-time painting.
The human figure is usually the main aspect in McKean’s paintings and his work can be seen in public and corporate collections throughout the UK, and in private collections worldwide.
